Construction and Upholstery
Frame and Foam Density
Construction directly determines the lifespan of a waiting chair. As with our Essence lobby chair, our models are produced by covering a frame made of kiln-dried beech wood with foam. A kiln-dried wooden frame works less with moisture and temperature changes and retains its form over the years. The Essence model uses 35 DNS density foam; foam density is the most important factor that determines the comfort of the chair when sat on for a long time and its ability to maintain its form over time.
Upholstery Selection
Upholstery selection is critical in waiting chairs in terms of durability and cleaning. We offer various fabric and leather options, and we determine the upholstery based on the intensity of use and the concept of the space. In hotel lobbies, both are often used together: row arrangements at the entrance and single groups in the corners.
