Wassily Leather Metal Chair

Bauhaus’ Timeless Signature, in Modern Living Spaces

The Kastra Wassily Iconic Leather Chair is one of the most impressive and groundbreaking furniture designs in the history of modern design. First designed in Germany in 1925 by Marcel Breuer, a pioneer of the Bauhaus movement, the Wassily Chair is recognized as the symbol of the transformation of industrial materials into an aesthetic language in furniture design.

As one of the first designs to adapt chrome-plated steel tubular technology to furniture, the Wassily strongly reflects the innovative spirit of the era and the Bauhaus philosophy that “form follows function.” With its lightness, durability, and simple form, this iconic design, which radically changed the traditional understanding of seating, has managed to maintain its relevance and prestige despite the years that have passed.

Its chrome-plated metal frame offers both a visually modern stance and a durable structure that retains its shape for many years. The natural leather straps used on the seat, back, and armrests provide ergonomic comfort that supports the body, while creating a perfect balance between the cold, powerful lines of the metal and the warm texture of the leather.

Thanks to its minimal lines, the Wassily Chair offers a wide range of use from living rooms to offices, workspaces to design-oriented commercial spaces; it brings not only a seating area to its environment, but also an artistic character and cultural value. It is an unparalleled choice for those who want to make a difference in decoration and invest in a timeless design.
